- 2016/2017 MLB Season

When the Chicago White Sox decided to pursue a complete technology overhaul for the 2016/17 season, they entrusted Click Effects to help create a state-of-the-art control solution to match their one-of-a-kind display ambitions. US Cellular Field is the first and only MLB ball park to showcase three distinct video boards. The atmosphere created by the three video boards coupled with the full-LED, iconic pinwheel spires is completely enveloping and has set a new benchmark for fan engagement for MLB ball parks.
The Click Effects control solution includes 5 Blazes, 2 Hi-Res Blazes, 2 Crossfires, 3 BackDrafts, 2 Master Controllers, 2 Data Hub systems, a ProAudio system, 3 Christie Spyders and scoring via CE Baseball. The turn-key Click Effects solution enables one-touch control of all displays, including two outfield fascias in addition to the three video boards and pinwheel spires. Click Effects triggers "looks" on the video boards via remote control of presets on the Christie Spyders. Click Effects also triggers the pinwheel spires via remote control of a Pharos DMX lighting interface and has incorporated GPI triggering for fireworks.
The San Fransisco Giants decided to completely replace their front end control solution for the 2016/17 season as they added new displays and replaced others. In previous seasons, the Giants relied on a third party to provide a game operator to run the displays. For this season, they decided to bring all LED control in-house, and Click Effects was the perfect vehicle to help make the transition happen. Incredibly, the newly hired in-house game operator for the Giants needed only a few weeks to completely master the operation of the three Blazes that provide animations, video, and data to the displays.
In addition to the three Blazes, the Giants have a BackDraft, Master Controller, and Data Hub. The Giants are also in the process of adding a 4th Blaze for the new 50/50 display. Click Effects not only sends video and animations to the LED, but also parses and displays scoring and statistical data from a ScorePAD scoring solution and triggers a Mitsubishi processor via GPI. The speed and success of the transition from third-party software and operator to a fully in-house solution is a testament to just how intuitive the Click Effects solution is to implement and operate.

GoVision has teamed up with Click Effects for the 2016 Ryder Cup. The Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn. will host the event starting on September 27th.
The Ryder Cup is one of the most unique PGA events as well as being extremely challenging to produce. Most PGA events only have to deal with one format of scoring data which is called "Stroke Play". This is where each golfer competes against each other. In the Ryder Cup, they start out with “Four Ball” competition (which is two golfers teamed up against two others), then go into "Foursome" competition and then move into single match play (that is one against one for 18 holes). Each format has distinct scoring that has to be understood, parsed and displayed real time by all the Click Effects systems. "The experience and knowledge that Click Effects brings to the Ryder Cup is critical for us to meet the high production standards of the PGA" said Chris Curtis, CEO and founder of GoVision.
In the main production truck, there will be four Crossfire systems that will be synchronized together by the Click Effects Master Controller. One operator will be able to generate four outputs of key and fill graphics such as leader boards, player bios, next on the tee and other real time data elements, all with the click of a button. These outputs can be routed to any of the numerous LED video boards scattered around the course.
The Media Center is the location where all the media from around the world sit and stare at all the scoring on the largest 5mm LED board in the history of the Ryder Cup. Our new Blaze high resolution system will be delivering all the scoring real time in all the different stroke formats.

The University of Arkansas purchased their first Click Effects video system five years ago when their existing content delivery solutions were not performing as desired. A couple of years later, five additional systems were purchased as part of the Razorback Stadium renovations. In addition to adding systems to Razorback Field (soccer), Bud Walton Stadium (basketball), Baum Stadium (baseball), Bogle Park (softball), and Barnhill Arena (volleyball) over the past year, the University of Arkansas has signed a contract with Click Effects to provide content delivery solutions to all of the university’s seven venues for the next ten years, as well as a new Click Effects Concierge service. Included in the contract are a host of customized services designed to help support and train the Razorback production staff. Likewise, the university will be given first access to new cutting edge features and Click Effects' designed graphics and templates. The University of Arkansas will be the first of many clients in 2016 to take advantage of Click Effects' growing creative services offered. Much more to announce over the coming months…
